The Trans' and Womyn's Action Camp (TWAC) is a annual gathering of activists with a diversity of backgrounds, but who have a focus on radical feminism, environmentalism, challenging gender oppression, and bringing down patriarchy. TWAC is for folks who identify as any variety of womyn, transfolk, genderqueer or intersex. Hello there, all you Portland Zine Symposium supporters, the PZS organizers are ready to start scheduling workshops and panels for the 2009 Portland Zine symposium!

Is there a workshop you'd like to see at Portland Zine Symposium? Is there one you'd like to teach?

Is there a topic you'd like to discuss with fellow zinesters in a public forum? Would you like to lead a discussion on any topic?

The Worker's Hire Site is starting a new English Curriculum, and we need teachers and volunteers to help - you don't need any experience, but we'll take it if you got it. Classes are everyday (except Thursday) from 10am to noon. This new curriculum has four-week sessions with a different theme each day. Make connections in your community, practice your spanish, and give something you got that don't cost you nothin' but is valuable to someone else. On Saturdays, we need conversation partners - english and spanish speakers will teach each other their languages, intercambio style.

We'll be having a Free School space set up for workshops at the Multnomah County Bike Fair. Contact us if you'd like to share some bikey skills or knowledge!
